Umpqua River Lighthouse (43  39’ 8” N, 124  11’ 9” W) is the second light to mark the Umpqua River and stands on a ridge to the south of the river’s mouth.  The nearest community is to the north, Winchester Bay, Oregon.  The first order Fresnel light, its lamp lit on December 31, 1894, flashes red and white and can be seen for about 20 miles.  Although trees surround the site, the lantern, which sits atop a 65 foot tower, shows easily over the treetops.

Framable poster, 11" x 14.75", sent in a flat box.
